FAMILY

Our family consist of me, my husband and three sons aged 13, 16 and 18 years and we live in Jyväskylä in the middle of Finland. In addition to Nelli and Elsa I own Taika (GM's Completely Magic) and Roki (GM's Catch Me If You Can) out of my C-litter. They live in fosterhomes. Then I co-own WSS male Welmu who lives in Liminka with his other owner Mia.

When I was a young girl I spent my time at stables, and beside of horses also cats belonged to my youth. Before white shepherds I had a german shepherd female called Danja (Sol'rein Danja). I am a veterinarian by profession and I work at Viitaniemi Veterinary Clinic in Jyväskylä.

I got to know white swiss shepherd as a breed in 2006 after Nelli had moved to our family. After that I've studied the breed not only through Nelli, Elsa and other "white friends" of mine but also by beeing present at the White Shepherd Association of Finland. I was a vice-member of the board of that association in 2007 and an actual member between 2008-2011. In 2009 I have also been the vice-chairman of this association. Between the years 2012-2015 I was a member of the Breeding Committee of our association. I have accomplished the breeder's basic course in January 2008 and the breeding advicer's basic course in April 2009 and the advanced course in April 2010. I have undersigned the breeding commitment of the Finnish Kennelclub and the White Shepherd Association of Finland and the breeder name Gentle Miracle's is granted for me in July 2009.

The dogs are primarily family members to me and thay are almosta always with me where ever I go, even at work. Our hobbies are obedience training, walking a lot in the forests and sometimes we go to dog shows. I don't have much motivation to compete and that's the main reason why we haven't been in competitions except in shows. :-)

I got interested in dog shows more after Nelli's success; when she got her first CAC I thought that "we are going to make her champion"! And so in the summer of 2008 she became a Finnish Champion and after that an Estonian and a Swedish Champion in 2010 and Danish and Nordic Champion in 2011. Nelli has also the tittles Finnish Junior Winner 2006, Helsinki Winner 2010, Helsinki Veteran Winner 2015, Winner 2015 and Veteran Winner 2015. ♥ Elsa has achieved her Finnish and Swedish Champion tittles in 2014.

Nelli has had two litters; GM's A-litter in 2009 and GM's B-litter in 2012. In 2015 Nelli's daughter Nuka (GM's August Fantasy) had GM's C-litter, which was carried out in co-operation with Nuka's owners. My dog breeding is very small-scale and so it will continue to be. The most important part of "breeding" to me is to be with puppies and to follow their growth and development here in our house prior to leaving for their new homes. I want to be closely involved later in life of "my puppies" too, and I'm grateful that the owners of them have let me to do that; both in joy and in sorrow. "My pups" have the best possible homes and I'd like to thank their owners so much for that! ♥
